 Post subject: List of "gems" I found on the reddit suggestion thread.

Some of these were suggested on the discord, but the main majority have been suggested on Reddit. I bolded the ones I really like.

Ramming speed:
Rocket forward dealing damage. Some damage is dealt to yourself. extra damage towards cars.

Booby Trap:
Places down a chemical that explodes when neutralized
OR
Applies an explosive to any chemical that explodes when the chemical is used. (Or walked on in case of alch/sonar, only when owner walks tho)

Pathfinder:
Increase sight range by %, slower ROF

Armorer:
Increases armor of cars, increases ramming damage, slower speed

Tank/Berserker:
Take no damage and unlimited damage for X seconds, Health is halved at end

Cloning/mirror image:
Spawns clones, damage is redirected to you.
OR
Spawns hologram that was mimicking what you were doing at the time (running/barriering/shooting) dunno penalty for this one.

Adrenaline rush:
Slowly drains HP, run faster

Infinite Ammo:
Infinite ammo but no moving, can't switch gun

Explosive Finisher:
When under 10%, can explode, slower movement speed after respawn for 1 min?

Scrap Bullets:
Get extra bullets when destroying cars, explosions deal 2x damage to you

Grappling hook:
Pull players towards you but has set distance

Throwable Slow:
Probably an AOE. Slows you too?

Displacement:
Addon to Teleport, allows you to switch places with other players

Phasic:
New Penalty: Being able to get hit by your own bullets?

Empty Guns:
Shoot rapid fire but shoot until no ammo left

Inspire?:
Gives movement speed to players around you? Not sure of penalty

Tornado?:
AOE knockback of sorts? or spinning people around you?

Comeback:
Increased damage
Damage taken is turned into 2x healing

Generic turret:
Placeable turret, does stuff I guess

Echolocation:
ping an area to detect enemies but alerts nearby enemies

This is perfect man, thanks. As we spoke about in discord I'm going to add 3 new skills for v1.01, so this list helps. I'll try find the relevant reddit comments so I can screenshot them and give thanks to the authors :)

For Cloning/mirror image, it could work this way.
When activated, your mutant stands still and will be vulnerable. You can control the hologram to walk around and maybe even check out places unharmed. This way, the penalty would be included in the skill mechanic itself.

Dunno if this skill is useful that way though. A distraction may be more favorable than a hologram for intel purposes.

Mirror image and Ramming speed are my favorite.

For mirror image I'd prefer like what chross said, you abandon your 'player' and play as the duplicate image until it's destroyed. You can shoot, but the bullets wouldn't actually do any damage, and enemies/bullets just go through it.

The penalty being you're actually standing in one spot for an ez knife, and high mana cost I'd assume. Also the image could 'jump' back to the user once it expires, revealing the direction of their location.

It's an interesting idea, casting a skill to control something to scout with. The penalty is of course the EZ knife. I wonder though, what if instead of controlling a player, you control a healing beacon or something, so you can not only scout but heal allies as well.

Couple skills I saw that I liked, with a brief expansion on possible mechanics:

"Pain Mirror"
Absorbs all of the damage that would be taken by you while active, and then slowly deals it back out to everyone within *radius* of you (6m +3/rank?) (30dam/s -5/rank?)
On deactivation any remaining stored damage is dealt to you
Penalty:
Self damage might be enough of a penalty?
If not: maybe can't shoot while it is active?

"Painful Health" (maybe as an add-on to Self repair?)
Your bullets heal allies for a percentage of their normal damage (20% +5/rank?)
Penalty:
You deal less damage to enemies while this skill is active, and for 2? seconds afterwards (60% -5/rank?)
